Created attachment 146918 [details] Germin string in Upper Sorbian Writer Hi, I found a bug in Upper Sorbian and Lower Sorbian LibreOffice 6.2.0.0 beta1. In the Writer View menu, in Upper Sorbian: Napohlad, in Lower Sorbian: Naglěd, the German string "Dateiauswahl" (maybe "File Selection" in English) is displayed instead of Upper Sorbian "Datajowy wuběr" resp. Lower Sorbian "Datajowy wuběrk". I assume that this string is not localizable and comes from the OS, here Win 10 Pro. Expected: The string should be localizable because there isn't any OS neither in Upper Sorbian nor in Lower Sorbian. Here is an Upper Sorbian screenshot:
I assume it's not translated in https://translations.documentfoundation.org/. Would you like to join the Sorbian translation team ?
Hi Xisco, it's not translated because strings are not in Pootle. They are part of the OS, not yet part of LibreOffice. But because some OS are not translated in some given languages, strings appear in English, they are very visible because part of main menus. So what is asked is to add those strings to LibreOffice translation and not to retrieve the string from the OS - Sophie
Hi Xisco, thank you for your reply. I am the Sorbian teams. ;-) LO master beta is fully transtlated into both Sorbian languages. If this string was not translated, it would be displayed in English and not in German. IMHO the German string indicates that it comes from the German OS.
I assume we can change the summary then. Correct it if I'm wrong...
By the way, I'm surprised that this string comes from the OS. There is a number of "File Selection" strings on Pootle that are translated into Sorbian languages, of course.
Hi, this bug can be marked as resolved. The issue was caused by a problem in the user profile. I renamed the old profile that LO can create a new one. So this bug is fixed now. This bug can be marked as resolved.
