Description: When I changed the cell format from text to number, sum function was not working on those cells (even they were numbers). It is because all numbers get a hidden ' character. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Write numbers to A1:A5 (cell format is number) A6 Sum(A1:A5) 2. Change the cell format of A2:A5 to text. (Sum function is still works well.) 3. Change the text format to "@ XY" (Sum function is not working any more. Still ok.) 4. Change back the text format to "@". (Sum function should work, but it is not.) 5. Change the cell format back to number. (Sum function should work, but it is not.) The numbers get an ' sign into the first character. (It is hidden until you click in the cell, and watch the above line.) Sum function still not working. 6. I have to delete the added caracter from each cell. Actual Results: The problem is reproduced. Expected Results: Sum the numbers of the cells. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info:

Created attachment 147449 [details] cell format after step 3 i can not confirm the described behaviour: changing the cell format from number to text will only align the cell value's to left.
(In reply to Daniel Szabo from comment #0) > 3. Change the text format to "@ XY" (Sum function is not > working any more. Still ok.) one has to reenter the values after changing cell format to text to get the described behaviuor.
