Created attachment 147487 [details] Image Padding By default padding at images is 0,00 cm when you use page wrap where the text wrap around the image 0 cm padding is not sufficient. I would suggest to have as default padding 0,20 cm. MS Word use by default 0,32 cm. Maybe the problem of have padding by default is, that when you add padding, the image size shrink cause the padding was not added outside the image, the padding was to inside.
Not to clear on the page wrap--text wrap aspect here... could you attach a screen clip or two. Otherwise per bug 87360 the 0 cm padding is preferred for images that are actually draw:image elements held in draw:frame and recorded into ODF that way. While see also bug 90070 details undesired resize of image(s) when a border is used--that the frame needs to adjust and not scale the image.
We discussed the proposal in the design meeting and agree on it. Current state is that an inserted image has zero spacing and changing this to 0.2cm works well. If a caption is added the frame takes the values, which cannot be changed then (this should be solved by disabling the controls). The referenced bug 87360 might be obsolete and bug 90070 is talking about a border. But we decided to keep them open for later.
can someone add an codepointer?
