A bulk letter Writer document recovers every time I try to open it.
The datasource a Calc table is on the same media in the same directory and also recovers, if it was open when closing the Writer document.

Please test with another Writer document from Calc table to know if it'sw a general issue or that specific document. 
Please than test with master LO from https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86_64@42/current/. It will not spoil your working LO. 
If reproduced with master, only for those documents, please attach them, without private data.

Hi Timur,
I just created a new Writer document and a new Calc document as database for the bulk letter. Again the LO asks me to recover the Writer document every time opening LO.

Did you try it with a new user profile like Timur suggested?

There were bugs for "recovers every time" that were not related to mailmerge, but could be resolved via profile reset. We need to know that. 
Also master helps in 2 ways: it's updated code and it's different profile.

Dear QA Team members,

sorry for the late reply.
This issue was also discussed in a german forum.
They asked me to delete my user profile.
After that I couldn't repeat the error any more.
