Description Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2019-02-01 21:30:36 UTC
Steps how to reproduce with Version: 6.0.5.2 (x64)
Build-ID: 54c8cbb85f300ac59db32fe8a675ff7683cd5a16
CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 6.1; UI-Render: Standard;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE);

1. Menu ˋTools → Options → LibreOffice → Generalˊ
   Bug: Open/Save → Use LibreOffice dialogs is not available

On <https://help.libreoffice.org/6.0/en-US/text/shared/optionen/01010600.html?&DbPAR=CALC&System=WIN> You find:

 "Open/Save dialogs
 Use LibreOffice dialogs
 Specifies whether LibreOffice dialogs are used to open and save documents.
 Otherwise the dialogs of the operating system are used."

This is no longer correct.

Additional Information
a) Help does not match with the actual behavior of current 6.0 Versions

Hi Rainer,

Confirmed, but the legacy use LibreOffice dialogs is considered an advanced configuration, essentially deprecated with move to Expert Configuration, with defaults being the os/DE provided file management.

While still present in the 6.2 help [1] the Use LibreOffice dialogs entries have been corrected in the master/6.3 help [2].

So, if no backport is planned, this one can be marked FIXED / TM 6.3
Comment 3 V Stuart Foote 2019-02-02 15:59:34 UTC
Not sure if the whole help commit [1] can be back ported to 6.2 or 6.1 as it also covers the PGP encryption. But the deprecation of the LibreOffice dialogs (and a note on how to restore it in Expert configurations) should maybe be present in the help for 6.1, still in active development.

Olivier?

I wanted to try with 6.3 today on WIN7, but my server installation of 6.3 does not launch (neither 32bit nor 64bit)

Not sure what you've got going on with the install. But a cmd windows msiexec install with edit to the program/bootstrap.ini setting UserInstallation=$ORIGIN/../Data/settings starts with out issue.

On Windows 10 Home en-US (1809) with
Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 82fb7f9f90a3ba9d53b3412124e513aa78ddca10
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; VCL: win;
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

Kende's TB39 x86 build [1] rolls the master/6.3 Help, while Thorsten's TB42 x86/x64 does not. On the last 2019-02-06 build of TB39 the Help article for the Tools -> Options: General tab does not include the old "Use LibreOffice dialogs" entry.
