When I copy something from Thunderbird mail client or off an internet page into Calc, this does not work properly unless I first copy it to a text editor and from there to Calc
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select text in source (e.g. Thunderbird)
2. Copy into Calc
In many cases (e.g. from a web page) it will not paste using CTL+V but if I use context menu, it does.
When I use a function like Trim to remove spaces, it does not.
Should find spaces.

Text file (xed) of paste from Thunderbird
The example shows what is pasted into text file.
When pasting from the text file into Calc, the Trim function correctly identifies spaces.
Hello Elmar ,
Thank you for reporting this. I've checked the text copied from Thunderbird using the following service that view non-printable Unicode characters:
I see the text copied from Thunderbird have the Unicode Character 'NO-BREAK SPACE' (U+00A0) , Which is not recognized as normal space by trim. I also checked the CLEAN which it's supposed to remove non printable characters but it didn't.
Will look at it further later D.V.

I think the issue with CLEAN function falls under bug 97706.
Not sure, if this report should be closed as wontfix in favour of bug 97706
