Description Przemysław 2019-02-08 15:06:36 UTC
Description:
Tab spreadsheets selected Shift+Ctrl+PgDn are not being marked.
Firstly, active tab is barely different to others.
Secondly, most important, selected Shift+Ctrl+PgDn do not select visually those tabs. Processing multiple ssheets works, at least.

Actual Results:
Make 3 spreadsheets in one frame (3 tabs). Try to select them using Shift+Ctl+PgDn and check if the tabs changed their colors, hues, gray tinge.

Expected Results:
I knew what I selected, but I was not able to see they were selected (see them marked).

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

No repro with Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: f8c4459bbda62cb905d0c007cac044f3410ab76b
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Comment 3 Przemysław 2019-02-09 20:05:31 UTC
I know now that the tabs were marked - with bold name for active one - and barely lighter color for selected, but the changes are nearly not visible (I mean practically). Those selected or active tabs should be more distinguished from others.

raal, do you use more than one keyboard layout in your OS?

I can repro this problem in my Kubuntu 18.10 and LibreOffice 6.2

Yes, two layouts

Setting bug as New. Maybe KDE issue? Can you try with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen ?

It's fine in

Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: f8ca6e0a59bff51fcb09af4fa6d9cd458b32f223
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: x11;
Locale: ca-ES (ca_ES.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

@Michael, @Vera, do you reproduce this issue with KDE5 ?

Screenshot with gtk3

Yes, I can reproduce using

Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 601cc06187d20355810666547225549984b0caa4
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: kde5;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

but in my case it's pretty much the same with

Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 601cc06187d20355810666547225549984b0caa4
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

s. attached screenshot for the gtk3 case ("Sheet2" and "Sheet3" are marked)

Screenshot with gen/x11

I can also confirm the selection is more obvious when using the gen/x11 VCL plugin, s. attached screenshot.

No repro in windows (But I don't remember when we got changed sheet tabs. Today we have some underline on selected sheet tab and Ctrl+Shift+PgDown makes underlined all selected tabs for me in Windows)

Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 78c33a4c3d1633b97049874305b3b49b820395a2
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

but of course we should retest it in Linux
Comment 12 Timur 2021-04-01 08:48:21 UTC
This bug was reported before change in bug 124572.
No repro for GTK3 and KDE, so needs test in KDE.
If still not marked, please revert to New.
Otherwise I duplicate to all OS bug 132470.
