Note that I haven't enabled OpenGL. @Vincent : does turning off OpenGL in the LO preferences make any difference ? What is your output screen resolution ?
Switching on/off OpenGL made no difference for me.

Switching on/off the OpneGl or all extensions makes no difference. It still hangs. I attach 2 process sampling file if it can help.

I tried on 2 external screens: - 1900×1050 (typically, I don't remember the exact number) - 3440×1440 No difference in using or not OpenGL.
Actually, the process doesn't hang completely: it eventually stops after ~ 7 mins or so... without any selection being applied.
@Vincent : thanks for the samples. Do you have any accessibility features enabled, by any chance (e.g. VoiceOver, or any other assistive technology tools) ? I also see a call to what looks like hardware acceleration - is this enabled under your LibreOffice preferences ? Usually, this should be disabled by default, or at least, that was my understanding, as it was known to cause problems.

(In reply to Vincent Boudry from comment #10) > Actually, the process doesn't hang completely: > it eventually stops after ~ 7 mins or so... without any selection being > applied. Rectification: I let it run ~19 mins, just to know. I could finally get an active selection, by carefully clicking on the window edge. Now I noticed LO indicates 1532 drawing objects selected.
Hello, LibreOffice 6.2.2.2 is going to be released today, could you please try again with this version to see if the problem has been resolved meanwhile? Thanks in advance
