Description wd1102 2019-02-22 14:22:58 UTC
Description:
I worked in LibreOffice with recording changes. I saved it in docx. When I open it with Word, I see the changes, but I can't accept or reject them.

I've done more than 30 document like this, but I've not seen it before. It worked fine all the time. That's something new, and I can't do anything to solve it. There isn't any lock or restriction. If I open a new document, and do the same (recording changes in LibreOffice and then open with Word), there isn't any problem. So the problem is only with 1 document. It would be very important to solve the problem, because it's a 300 pages document, and I don't want to lose my work.

I use Win7, LibreOffice 6.2.0.3 (x64) and Word 2007.

Actual Results:
The problem is with only 1 document.

Expected Results:
The problem is with only 1 document.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

I confirm your description with Word 2016, but I'm not sure, if this is a LO bug or a WS Word bug.

I have no problems to manage the changes in LO

When you say it worked fine all the time before you mean using the previous version of LibreOffice, yes? If so could I ask which LO Version that was. Thanks

No, I did my previous document with the same version (6.2.0.3.) without any problem. And if I open a new document with LO now, there isn't any problem. So it looks the problem is just this one document...

And, sorry, it's important: the original document is in docx, then I worked in that with LO, and save it also docx.
When I open the original document with MS Word, the tracking changes works fine. And this works fine in LO, too. But when I make any changes in LO and save it in docx and open it with MS Word, I can't accept/reject the changes.

Maybe it is the MS Word's fault, I don't know.

Since the behaviour is reproducible, I changed status to NEW. Perhaps somebody who is more familiar with taht topic, can decie, if it is bug from LO or not. Maybe related to bug 90040

The attached document has a "tracked changes" document protection, handled differently by Word and Writer a little bit. You can switch off it in Word by removing this editing restriction: "In the file, click File > Info > Protect Document > Restrict Editing and click Stop Protection at the bottom of the Restrict Editing pane." (https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/add-or-remove-protection-in-your-document-workbook-or-presentation-05084cc3-300d-4c1a-8416-38d3e37d6826)

Note: It's possible to set it in Writer, too, switching off File->Properties->Security->Record changes check box.
