This is connected with the white highlighting (Format - Character - Highlighting). If you select all the text and set highlighting to None, the problem goes away. I see the problem only on Windows and not on Linux. In 5.4.2 the problem affected all the lines of text. With 6.2.2 and master, it is only affecting certain words I have create bug 124587 for this different issue. sealjosephson: could you test with 6.2? Appimage is an easy way: https://libreoffice.soluzioniopen.com/ Set to NEEDINFO. Change to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
