Actually I think it's worse/more general than that - I'm on a cell that's at the top of a page and can't split the table there as the cell above it falls on the previous page, but if I add some paragraph marks prior to that above cell to shift them both down so they are on the same page the Split Table becomes available.
I confirm it with Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: 91cdf22b88a4f7bec243c8fb187627e766d3294c CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default; VCL: win; TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2019-03-08_00:38:10 Locale: en-US (de_DE); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded and with Version: 5.4.7.2 (x64) Build-ID: c838ef25c16710f8838b1faec480ebba495259d0 CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 6.19; UI-Render: GL; Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: CL
I can still reproduce the problem with Version: 7.1.0.3 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: f6099ecf3d29644b5008cc8f48f42f4a40986e4c CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL Steps to reproduce 1. Open a new document in writer 2. Insert a table with at least on row 3. add 3 paragraphs to that row 4. Add some paragraphs above the table, so that the table row is across two pages 5. Put cursor within first paragraph on the second page Actual result "Split table" button is greyed out.
Split Table is grayed while the cursor is in one cell of the first row of the next page in a table allowed to split across pages. 1.1. Put the cursor in a cell that is completelly on the first row on the second page (row do not break across page). 1.2. Put the cursor in a next page paragraph pertaining to a cell that shares both first and second pages (row do break across page). 1.3. Select more than one cell on the first row on the second page (row do not break across page). Actual results: After step 1.1. or 1.2. Split Table is not selectable (is grayed out). After step 1.3. Split Table is selectable (is not grayed out). Expected results: After step 1.1. and 1.2. Split Table is selectable. Version: 7.1.8.1 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: e1f30c802c3269a1d052614453f260e49458c82c CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: default; VCL: win Locale: es-MX (es_ES); UI: en-US Calc: CL
Dear DM, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
