Tested with several versions starting from 3.3.0. In 3.3.0 and 3.5.0 the charts were not visible yet.
Created attachment 150928 [details] XLSX format Not affected. When there are missing data points, scatter charts are not imported correctly.
Created attachment 150929 [details] Same charts in DOCX incorrectly imported It seems that our internal data tables need support for blank rows.
In Word, if you change the chart type from scatter to line, Writer correctly imports the blank row.
The line chart version of this bug was fixed with https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=4bcf1872bbe9db1388769485a7e4c0cbcce3d53c
Created attachment 153788 [details] Screenshot of the example file in 6.0.7 and current master This seems to be solved now: the empty row is imported correctly after with this commit: https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=4afd65776457be3391f3e1340da614dffc8f227b
