Description Sam 2019-04-02 14:06:12 UTC
Description:
XLS (Excel 97-2003) files containing hyperlinks in cells opened in Calc have garbage characters (%00塹ᴻ䡿ⲯ嶂藄挧%00%00ꮥ%00) and are non-functional.

Subsequently saving the document back to XLS results in the file throwing errors when attempting to open with MS Excel.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a file using MS Excel (any version) with cells containing hyperlinks to web addresses or external files
2. Save as XLS (Excel 97-2003)
3. Open in LibreOffice Calc and examine link address

Actual Results:
Links are malformed and contain garbage characters (%00塹ᴻ䡿ⲯ嶂藄挧%00%00ꮥ%00)

Expected Results:
Links should work properly as they do in LibreOffice 6.1.5 as well as MS Excel

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
This behavior doesn't manifest itself in LibreOffice 6.1.5.2 (x64)
Build ID: 90f8dcf33c87b3705e78202e3df5142b201bd805
