Description Tom 2019-04-14 10:55:12 UTC
Description:
Draw allows to group and ungroup shapes. In addition Draw also allows to enter a group per contect menu item. However, once a group has been entered, the context menu lacks the menu item to exit that group. While the context menu item "Exit Group" is available in LO6.1.5.2, it is missing in LO6.2.2.2.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a group
Draw a rectangle and an overlapping ellipse.
Select both shapes.
Open the context menu per right click om the selcted shapes.
Click "Group".

2. Enter the new group
Select the newly created group.
Open the context menu per right click on the selected group.
Click "Enter Group"

3. Exit the entered group
Open the context menu by clicking on the page background.
Search for the menu item "Exit Group".

Actual Results:
No "Exit Group" menu item is displayed in the context menu after the group has ben entered.

Expected Results:
The context menu is expected to display a menu item "Exit Group".

Reproducible: Always

Just found out that the operation of "Exit Group" was changed in LO6.2.2.2. My mistake. I should have read the manual before submitting a report.

IMHO the current behavior is not user friendly.

a) For my Version: 6.4.2.2 (x64)
Build-ID: 4e471d8c02c9c90f512f7f9ead8875b57fcb1ec3
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.1 Service Pack 1 Build 7601; UI render: default; VCL: win;
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Language: en-US, Tango theme
Online Help https://help.libreoffice.org/6.4/en-US/text/shared/guide/groups.html?DbPAR=SHARED#bm_id6888027 still tells about context menu item 'Exit Group'. Same with German build in Help.

b) 'Exit Group' context menu item appears
b1) after having pasted some bitmap contents into group and having clicked
    pasted contents
b2) after having selected more than 1 element of the group and right click
on an element in the selected area

c) If I enter a group with context menu I expect that I should also be able
to leave it that way. Especially that way works for (b1) (b2)

d) the old way via context menu is not only more intuitive, but also faster
than the way via the Main Menu
