@Daniel : please identify the version of macOS you are using.

Furthermore, did you temporarily unset the Gatekeeper setting in System Settings > Security before attempting to install LibreOffice ?

You might try typing in, from a Terminal, the following :

 xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/LibreOffice.app/

and then try reinstalling the LibreOffice.app bundle again by drag and drop.
Comment 2 Alex Thurgood 2019-04-23 15:39:32 UTC
@Daniel : if your version of macOS is 10.9.5, then this report is a duplicate of bug 122374, which in itself is very similar to bug 89657 (in its effects).

When you restart LO, you can also try right-mouse button clicking on the app icon in the Applications folder and choosing Open while keeping the Shift button of the keyboard pressed down.

I tried the suggested move, but no change. I had a look at the previous bugs you mentioned, but one of them was more about the language pack and I found it difficult to follow. I haven't installed the language pack yet anyway.

I am now going to try installing LO on my desk iMac11,2, also using Yosemite 10.10.5

Hi !
got the same problem on my desk iMac11,2, also using Yosemite 10.10.5
I had verified the keeper was not active, used the Terminal line you suggested : answer : "xattr: No such file: /Applications/LibreOffice.app/". Kept the shift key pressed. It still doesn't start.
Comment 6 Alex Thurgood 2019-04-29 15:31:03 UTC
@Brett : what happens if you right-mouse button click on the LibreOffice.app icon in the Applications folder, and then choose Open(Ouvrir) from the context menu without clicking on the Shift key?

We get the same situation. I wonder how long I should wait before giving up. Generally the line following the action disappears when the job is done.
