Description: I created a file in Excel that requires a password to open the file and another password to leave read-only mode and edit the file. When I use this same file in Libre Calc, I am required to enter the password to open the file, but am allowed to enter Edit mode without entering a second password to leave read-only mode and edit the file. Is this a bug or does Calc only require one password to open as well as edit a file? Actual Results: Open a file with the two passwords listed above Expected Results: One password opens and allows edit. This should not happen. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-US Module: SpreadsheetDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Windows (All) OS is 64bit: no

Created attachment 151298 [details] Excel file named "Password issue" Hello, Attached is a file I just created in Excel. It requires the password 123456 to open the file, and requires the password 654321 to leave Read Only mode to edit the file. This works correctly in Excel. When I try to open the file in LibreOffice Calc, the password 123456 is asked for to open the file, but if I choose Edit Mode from the Edit menu, I can double click in a cell like B1 and enter information without being asked to enter the password 654321 to exit Read Only mode and enter Edit Mode to edit the document. Thanks for looking into this. Great suite of programs. Best, David
I've tested on the daily build. The file is editable without using the Edit password. However I'm not sure if setting a password for edit mode is supported by LO.
