Description Nils Holle 2019-05-14 06:43:30 UTC
Description:
By now, Microsoft Word supports entering LaTeX equations without any further installation needed.
I think this would be a great thing to have in LibreOffice too.
There is already the TexMaths extension, which works ok in Writer, but does not provide inline equations in Impress.
Maybe some of that code might be helpful.
I don't see any reason why we should not be able to ship a LaTeX binary with LibreOffice.

Thanks for reporting this issue.
It seems like a dupe of bug 73593

Not really duplicate to bug 73593 since that is about the Math component itself. This report is about using LaTeX directly in Writer and about allowing inline formulas in Impress. The latter is already covered by bug 129061. Thus this should focus on Writer.
