This of course requires two headed configuration--presenter console and display/projector. Not applicable to single headed presentation mode.

Elmar, you submitted 100 bugs which shows you as an advanced LO user.
Some of the reports are useful, but majority are duplicates or invalids etc. You seem to report too fast, without due consideration.
Please spend some time looking for existing reports, finding correct terminology, testing..

> If I am in slide sorter view in presentation mode
"presentation mode" should be "Presenter View" and "slide sorter" is "Slides Overview" as can be seen in Help. It important to use proper names.

> cannot scroll through sorted slides using mouse scroller
I confirm mouse scroll is not possible in "Slides Overview". Your request would be an enhancement. What's not clear is whether that mouse scroll should advance slides or move slider down. That's more UX issue, but let's first clear up this report.

> when drag slider on right hand side, the slide shown on the projector does not stay where it is.
I don't understand what you mean. Slider in Slides Overview goes only down-up, how do you drag it on right hand slide. And what's the connection between slider and slide shown.

> slide being presented changes, even though do not select it.
I don't understand what you mean. Steps must be clear enough that someone else reading them first time can understand.

Note: see bug 38164, bug 76029, bug 127921, bug 128365. Due to last two, best is to test with LO 6.2.

> slide being presented changes
As reported in bug 127921, going into "Slides Overview" in LO 6.3 sets presentation slide to 1. That's clear bug report, so never mind this one is earlier.

> cannot scroll through sorted slides using mouse scroller
UX should see whether mouse scroll in "Slides Overview" should work and advance marked slide or move slider down.

We have bug 38164 that requests to wheel scroll to the next/previous slide (in normal mode). My suggestion was to have wheel (scroll on current canvas) and alt+wheel (scroll through slides, ie. apply the wheel at the slide pane). And I would propose the same solution here. The sorter canvas has a scrollbar, which acts on wheel. In order to apply the wheel to something else you need the alt accelerator.

I'll confirm the bug with changed title.
Point of bug is to use mouse and I add to use Up/Down keyboard keys.
I set enhancement and mark High. Because unwanted click changes slide.

it's not a reason to increase it to High

As I reported in #151252 (which has been closed on account of its being considered a duplicate of this the present bug) there is a really _disastrous_ bug in this area. Or so it seems to me. Let me quote (in fact the entirety of) my original bug report.

=== Start of quotation ===

So far as I can tell, when one is in 'presenter' mode, and viewing notes the overflow the window pane, the only way to scroll the notes is by clicking the scroll bar and dragging it. If that is true, it is pretty disastrous. For, if one is giving a presentation - as I was today when I encountered this problem - then, to see all of ones notes, which is something one needs to be able to do _quickly_, one must do a click and drag that, if one is using a laptop (which is fairly likely), and if one does not have an attached mouse but must use a touchpad or similar (again: likely), is fiddly and, thus, slow.

So: this is something that can wreck the very purpose of Impress, namely, giving presentations. (Hence my tagging this bug as 'major'.) The reply that one should only use short notes misses the point. For, perhaps, ideally, one should; but that does not mean that the software should stuff one right royally if one does not.

What should be done: can the arrow keys, and scroll wheel, not be used to scroll the notes, once the caret is within the note box? So doing would stop those means being used, at that moment, to switch slides - but that outcome is much less bad than the one that one gets currently.

=== End of quotation ===

So I submit that the importance of this bug be raised to 'major'. (Or, if it is thought that I complain about something other than the original topic of this bug report, then my report - 151252 - out to be re-opened.)

No "wheeling" nor shortcuts to scroll through the long list of notes. One has to click the tiny up/down buttons. I agree to raise the importance.

Gabor, is this one for you?

If someone looks into it, bug 45034 (focused on the Slides view) probably has a similar solution.
Potential code pointers in bug 95257.
