Description prasolova 2019-05-17 17:27:59 UTC
Description:
I have simple presentation in .odp format and .ppt format. when starting Slideshow (press Slide Show, then Start from First Slide or Start from Current Slide) only white screen pops up with partial text lines at top and bottom of a screen.
Opened same presentations in PowerPoint (after saving all as .pptx) - everything is ok.
Problem started yesterday, May 16th 2019.
Checked for updates. Uninstalled and reinstalled the program - problem is still there.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open presentation in Libre Office Impress
2. Press Slide Show, then Start from First Slide
3. Watch and enjoy

Actual Results:
Blank white screen

Expected Results:
Full screen slide show

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

First - you shouldn't change status to NEW yourself. It should be anyone else
Second - please attach sample file with your presentation
Third - add info from dialog Help->About LibreOffice

On Win10 with master sources updated today, I don't reproduce this.

Could you upgrade to 6.2.4 and if you still reproduce this give a try to:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps
?

The screen tearing is pretty certain to be a duplicate of bug 40534, non-OpenGL presentation mode with GPU Hardware Acceleration enabled on a high resolution display (e.g. > 2.5 m pixels). OP could verify by changing rendering

Tools -> Options -> View

Either enable OpenGL (if supported by hardware and os/DE), or disable Hardware Acceleration and use only CPU for rendering the presentation.

Please, reopen from the duplicate if that is not the case.
