Description Juang Dse 2019-06-27 09:54:09 UTC
Description:
When inserting a Zotero reference, I cannot continue writing normal text right after the reference, since that text is added to the reference. Some intermediate editing is necessary to see the behavior.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. insert a zotero citation.
2. type space + backspace.
3. write some text.

Field shadings may be necessary to make it visible.

Actual Results:
text is part of the reference field

Expected Results:
text is not part of the reference field

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Version: 6.3.0.0.beta2
Build ID: 6c6edded7133daf2d8d0b2ea7ae25b8109c5c064
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2;
Locale: de-DE (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded
Comment 1 Dieter 2019-07-01 06:24:18 UTC
I can't confirm it with

Version: 6.2.5.2 (x64)
Build-ID: 1ec314fa52f458adc18c4f025c545a4e8b22c159
CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 10.0; UI-Render: Standard; VCL: win;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Sprache: de-DE
Calc: threaded

I didn't install zotero in master build, so LO 6.2.5.2 is my newest version.
Juang, does it only happen with LO 6.3 or is this bug also present in older versions?
Comment 2 Juang Dse 2019-07-01 07:50:45 UTC
This bug bothers me since at least 2-3 years, possibly longer. Also, for example, with

Version: 6.2.5.2
Build ID: 1ec314fa52f458adc18c4f025c545a4e8b22c159
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

I used a clean profile. My Zotero version is 5.0.69.

Note that step 2 is crucial.
Comment 3 Dieter 2019-07-01 10:16:07 UTC
I use the same version of zotero. Could it perhaps depend on the citation style? I use Chicago Manual of Style 16th edition (author, date German)
Comment 4 Juang Dse 2019-07-01 10:19:41 UTC
same as with the others.
Comment 5 Dieter 2019-07-01 10:23:45 UTC
My extension: Zotero LibreOffice Integration 5.0.16
Comment 6 Juang Dse 2019-07-01 10:25:24 UTC
same here.
Comment 7 Juang Dse 2019-07-01 12:03:10 UTC
I just tested a completely new LO and zotero install on an Ubuntu bionic machine, again same thing. Is the bug limited to Linux?
Comment 8 Dieter 2019-07-01 13:54:44 UTC
I can't test it on Linux, but perhaps your bug is a duplicate of bug 64361? What do you think?
Comment 9 Juang Dse 2019-07-01 14:14:23 UTC
O yes, definitely a duplicate. But it seems that you (Dieter) do see the bug with windows,

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123224#c1

I'll close this one as a duplicate of bug 64361.
