Description: Make font sizes in Autofilter window the same (big!). Now we have different font sizes in Autofilter window (see attach) I suggest make it the same size like in general GUI of LibreOffice Steps to Reproduce: - Actual Results: Now we have different font sizes in Autofilter window Expected Results: we'll have the same font sizes in Autofilter window Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ (x86) Build ID: d35171456bc230efdaa9426da1398b2db7fa0df8 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.1; UI render: default; VCL: win; TinderBox: Win-x86@42, Branch:master, Time: 2019-06-27_04:11:18 Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded
Created attachment 152453 [details] Font sizes in Autofilter window
I have in OS 125% scaled GUI
I think this issue is what's noted in bug 125791 comment 4: "the fundamental problem here is that the autofilter dropdown doesn't support DPI scaling properly, at least at 125%. See the attached comparison screenshot, and note how: - in one case the 'Sort Ascending' to 'Standard Filter...' entries aren't scaled (this is the view before the patch and the view after hovering over the items with the patch), - in the other case the entries are scaled, but don't fit in place." Therefore no need to make this a UX question, it's a bug, let's set to NEW.
Not reproducible with DPI scaling 100% and 150%. Reproducible with DPI scaling 125%. Also reproducible with Version: 6.2.5.1 (x64) Build ID: 9a940173fab1747f02322bc89779759d52b3a086 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; VCL: win; Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded Adding bug 125791 to See Also, since it also had been only reproducible only with scaling 125% (although this one of course has a different cause).
(In reply to Aron Budea from comment #3) > I think this issue is what's noted in bug 125791 comment 4: > "the fundamental problem here is that the autofilter dropdown doesn't > support DPI scaling properly, at least at 125%. And Miklos submitted a patch. The confirmation (I rather expect the issue to be solved) should be done with this build. Otherwise it's clearly a bug. The UI should respect the system setting and arbitrary font size are adverse to usability and, in particular, accessibility.
(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #5) > And Miklos submitted a patch. The confirmation (I rather expect the issue to > be solved) should be done with this build. I tested now with a master daily build from 07-08, and the original behavior has been restored, ie. the font size doesn't change, but is still small at 125% scaling.

Dear Roman Kuznetsov, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
