Description Tibor Kovács 2019-07-12 06:03:52 UTC
Description:
To reproduce:
Create some ODF file with filename beginning the "_" character like the _myFile1.odt, _yourFile2.odt
Swith to LibreOffice file dialog in the Tools - Options - Advanced - Open Expert configuaration.
search the "UseSystem"
Set to False the UseSystemFileDialog option
Now try to open a file from any application by usage File - Open
Sort the list in the File dialog by Filenames.
The bug:
The names begining the "_" character will not collected in one group, but they will be sorted by the "first real letter"

Tried on Win 10 x64 with LO 6.1.6 x64. it is a Clean intall, there is not any inherited User Profile from the previous (LO 4.4.7) version)

It worked well in the LO4.4.7 and it works fine in the LO 6.2.5 (tried with a portable version), but not work in the Still version LO 6.1.6!

Is it a bug; or it is some "default" behavior? Is there (somewhere in the deep settings) some setting to switch to normal behavior?

We can not use the "System File dilaog", because out macros will not work with it. The reason: the return URL from the System dialog is not same as the Libreoffice File dialog.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create some ODF file with filename beginning the "_" character like the _myFile1.odt, _yourFile2.odt
2. Swicth to 'LibreOffice file dialog' in the Tools - Options - Advanced - Open Expert configuaration: search the "UseSystem" - Set to False the UseSystemFileDialog option
3. Now try to open a file from any application by usage File - Open
Sort the list in the File dialog by Filenames.
4. The bug:
The names begining the "_" character will not collected in one group, but they will be sorted by the "first real letter"

Actual Results:
The names begining the "_" character will not collected in one group, but they will be sorted by the "first real letter"

Expected Results:
The names must be sorted by the beginning "_" character.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

It worked for you in 6.2.5, so there was no need for concern. I tested with 7.0 alpha and it continues to work OK. Closing.
