Uninstalling libreoffice-kde and installing libreoffice-gtk3 fixes this menu rendering problem but replaces the nice KDE file dialogs with the GTK file dialogs, which is an integration downgrade.

Note:

* Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
* Libreoffice from the libreoffice PPA

Thank you for reporting the bug. To be certain the reported issue is not
related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your
Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and
re-test?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present

When I reported this bug the version that appeared for the upgrade was 6.2.5. I then rolled back to 6.1. Today I tested this upgrade again and the version available is 6.2.6.

With version 6.2.6 the problem did not happen. On hypothesis is that the problem was fixed in the Libreoffice PPA.
