Description: When I click on the word count stats in the status bar, I get a popup dialog with detailed stats. I wish it was possible to copy this information to clipboard. Steps to Reproduce: I export strings from translation projects as an HTML document (as a preview for the translator to estimate the cost), and I need to edit this document in Writer to include word stats. Actual Results: Workflow without the requested feature: - place Writer window in left half of the screen - open Kwrite in the right half - select the table with translation strings in Writer - click on the statusbar to show the stats popup - MANUALLY RETYPE the three numbers into Kwrite - close the popup - create an HTML table in Writer to hold the word stats - MANUALLY type the labels - MANUALLY RETYPE the three numbers into the table cells Expected Results: Workflow once the requested feature is implemented: - select the table in Writer - click on the statusbar to show the stats popup - copy word stats - close the dialog - paste the HTML table with the stats into the document - delete irrelevant rows and columns Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Note that it is not even possible to retype the numbers into the document while the stats popup is open, because typing into the document clears selection and resets the selection stats to 0; using another editor as a manual retype buffer is currently unavoidable. I support this request. Same (or as alternative) in File => Properties => Statistics
We could just make the text selectable. See also bug 123083.
