Works on my computer. Tools->AutoCorrect->While Typing Tools->AutoCorrect->AutoCorrect Options [Options] Tab -> Bulleted and Numbered list: Bullet Symbol: * [Options] Tab -> Replace bullets with: * All the above should be checked.
and before the paragraph break I had to input something following an asterisk and a space to make it work.
Oh that's weird, wonder why I had that autocorrect option disabled - sorry!
