To reproduce- - open the tc3.odp - save in pptx - open pptx in PowerPoint => Slide is empty. Note: Sounds similar as 57279, but no complaint that the file is invalid by PPT in my case!

Choosing another in the Design ribbon reveals the contents of the slide. Content was there, and also seen in other Office apps, this was just MSO issue.
