Created attachment 154510 [details] harmonize transparent would be nice to have the GtkScale transparencyslider widget from sidebararea.ui and sidebarshadow.ui also available in core/svx/uiconfig/ui/sidebarline.ui file.
Created attachment 154511 [details] harmonize color picker In the Sidebar -> property -> area there are different fill options - None - Color - Gradient - Bitmap - ... In all Options you see in the color picker widget the color + color name like Light Gold 2, Dark Gold 2, ... this is very usefull cause you don't have to open the widget and see in the tooltip which color you use for an shape. In all Options you see color + color name, only at Fill Style Color you can't see the label for an fast review on an shape color. please use the widget from Fill: Gradient for Fill: Color so that it's easier to know the label (if there is no label the #4d4d4d number was shown, what is also fine) Also in Sidebarline.ui file the Color item should use the Color + Label widget.
+1, don't see any show stopper
Created attachment 167123 [details] Line Sidebar left how it should look like and right, how it is in 7.0
Created attachment 167240 [details] Line Sidebar The idea is as everywhere (excl. Paragraph, Text and Table Panel) else to have left labels and right drop down widget with a preview. In 6.4 we had already the LineStyle dropdown widget and also the Start and Endline Style dropdown widget. Would it be possible to use the 6.4 layout. Than we only have to update Line width and color widget.
I played around since weeks and nights but my skills aren't good enough and a bit frustrated.
(In reply to andreas_k from comment #4) > In 6.4 we had already the LineStyle dropdown widget All relevant changes were made by you, see https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/history/core/svx/uiconfig/ui/sidebarline.ui. Maybe this patch is what you want to reconsider https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/90460 Who needs quick access to cap style, corner style, and transparency?

No the .ui change was only an rearrangement of the widgets. # eae55d73 or # af71531e or maybe # 4f6d95ea are the patches where the change was done. However the problem is that no only change in the .ui file is needed also in the .cpp files.
(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #6) > Who needs quick access to cap style, corner style, and transparency? As corner style and cap style were handled different in LibO and MSO or at least the import is not 100% correct from MSO files, you need them. Transparency is there for consistancy I think. However please start a new bug report about remove specific content from a sidebar panel.
Dear andreas_k, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
