Description Andy 2019-09-30 08:52:05 UTC
Description:
In Calc, if you have a column of any data with say n rows, and write a formula in the first row of the next column, you can double click on the black dot in the lower right corner of the cell selection and extend the formula to all rows with data in the left column. This is not active anymore if the formula column is already populated, while it worked in previous releases (I guess at least until 4). For example, if you have to change the formula in the whole column, you edit it in the first top row and then you would like to extend the editing to the whole column. Now you have to first delete the content of following rows to be able to reuse autofill!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a calc sheet, insert any data for a few cells of row A (say 10 rows)
2. now move to B1 and write any formula that uses A1 content as input (if you put numbers in column A, square the number for example - or anything else)
3. keeping B1 selected, double click the selection lower right corner to autofill immediately column B with the formula, no matter how many rows of column A are populated unless there are emptys cells in the middle
4. Now move back to B1 and edit the formula in any way, e.g. add the value in A1 to its square. or anything else.
5. of course you now would like to update the whole B column with autofill again, but the double click now has no effect and will NOT work unless you first manually empty column B for row 2 downwards.

Actual Results:
It is not possible anymore to autofill a column if this is not empty

Expected Results:
You should be able to use autofill not only to populate an empty column, but also to update its content anytime you need to later on

Reproducible: Always

Additional Info:
Checked on LO3, behaviour is what expected. I do not know when this problem surfaced, sorry
