Seems the cell is defined as hyperlink. <hyperlinks><hyperlink ref="B2" r:id="rId1" display="aaa@bbb.cc"/></hyperlinks> using [Ctrl-M] to clear it as hyperlink, allows give the proper format to the cell. Maybe in excel takes preference the cell's format. https://help.libreoffice.org/6.3/en-US/text/scalc/guide/cell_protect.html?&DbPAR=CALC&System=WIN
Strange behaviour when trying to remove direct formatting and copying. The blank cell is not what is wanted and clearing formatting does not mean the other format is picked up. https://ttprivatenew.s3.amazonaws.com/pulse/d-manicx100/attachments/11721027/TinyTake18-10-2019-04-27-59.mp4

Instead a direct format for every cell, creating a new 'Hidden' style with that format, apply the style to those cell, and when [Ctl-M] is done in the cell with the link, the is showed as you like. I'm not an opinion about if the preference in that cell must be the link or the cell format.
