Description Ed Sharman 2019-11-04 19:11:29 UTC
This bug was filed from the crash reporting server and is br-30dbc2fc-bef2-4c6f-b90d-736674d609f5.
=========================================

In either a *.doc or newly opened "Untitled" document in edit mode, left-clicking on enter/special character causes LibreOffice to crash per this crash report.

I am very willing to assist in correcting this bug, but will need a tutorial/checklist about what to do as I have NO experience in debugging LibreOffice (but a LOT of experience in debugging embedded systems).

If this isn't a bug but a configuration issue, PLEASE point me to resources that will permit me to identify what to change.

Thank you for reporting the bug. To be certain the reported issue is not
related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your
Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and
re-test?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present
Comment 4 Ed Sharman 2019-11-05 16:28:24 UTC
To Xisco Fauli: Thanks for your excellent advice, the problem indeed lay in the user profile and has been resolved by resetting the profile. I'll now know to investigate profile corruption as the first step. Your help much appreciated!
