Description N33k4 Pol33s 2019-11-06 03:46:56 UTC
Description:
I copy some text from Libre Calc and paste into Internet Explorer like "email-12345". Then do some work in Explorer, maybe check email or some account. Then I find a number value I want like "500.00" and paste back into Libre Calc but it gives me back my original value of "email12345". I am expecting the second value. It doesn't paste from my clipboard or have an option to paste from clipboard but uses whatever I had copied from Libre Calc. I have to manually type in my value. That's a bit frustrating.

Steps to Reproduce:
See above steps. 6.3.1.2 (x64)

Actual Results:
See above.

Expected Results:
See above.

Reproducible: Always

I can't reproduce this behaviour in LinuxMint 19.1 / LO 6.3.3.2 (de-de).
But I know this exact problem from Windows + Excel 2016:
As long as there is a "blinking line" (sorry, don't know the "professional" term for this) around the selected - and copied - cells, the clipboard seems to be write-locked so that other applications can only read from but not write to the clipboard. Only when you return to Excel/Calc and press ESC key (= end this "copy mode") the clipboard is "unlocked" again.
And: The problem only arises when selecting/copying CELLS, not single letters/text within a cell.
Is this behaviour what you experience?

I ask reporter N33k4 Pol33s to help us with more information:
Which operating system do you use?
You say "Internet Explorer", please test with two other browsers and report.
When you say "paste into Internet Explorer" do you mean in search box or in e-mail box or where exactly?
Similar, "I find a number value I want like "500.00"" where, is it in search page or from e-mail?

May not be related, but we have some issue with Internet Explorer in Bug 128029.

Tip: if you are using Fresh LO 6.3 please first update from 6.3.1, now it's 6.3.3.

Since no response from reporter, I close as insufficient.
If you do test as required and reproduce and explain details, feel free to set Unconfirmed.
