Did you install Java 64 bits?
Indeed, LO 64 bits needs Java 64 bits (like LO 32 bits needs Java 32 bits).

If yes, could you rename your LO directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows) and give a new try?

Renaud: please answer directly on bugtracker.
You can either just comment by using https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129318#
or comment + attach a file by using https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=129318&action=enter

I understood you checked Java version + the fact it was 64 bits.

What about https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows ?
You said:
result is 4 - shown in oic

What does "oic" mean? What does "result is 4" mean?
Comment 3 Normand Renaud 2019-12-13 23:56:30 UTC
Hi,

You said what is " oic ". Where did you see that ?

About the " 4 " showned, i followed the path you sent me :
could you rename your LO directory profile (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows

then found this information: %APPDATA%\libreoffice\4\user(LibreOffice 4,5 & 6)

Sorry I'm not use to It,but so you suggest to renamed, but don't know how.

Regards
Normand

Just open Windows explorer (not Internet explorer) then go to :
c:\Users\<your user name directory>\appdata
"appdata" directory appears only when selecting display all directories (see https://support.microsoft.com/en-ie/help/4028316/windows-view-hidden-files-and-folders-in-windows-10)
Once in appdata, remove subdir "libreoffice".
Comment 6 Normand Renaud 2019-12-14 16:12:09 UTC
Hi,

I went on File explorer link and check all hidden files

on explorer search task bar
c:\Users\myname\appdata - no libreoffice showned
there was SubDir>roaming
then I found Libreoffice Dir

I opened LO , create new file, but still JRE not found

very frustrating...

thanks for your help anyway

and did you remove Libreoffice dir? (with LO closed of course)

The goal is to force LibreOffice to create a brand new LO profile (it'll recreate a Libreoffice dir in roaming) and so it'll try to redetect everything, Java included.
Comment 8 Normand Renaud 2019-12-16 02:09:43 UTC
Hi,

Yes, I did delete LO from oaming.

Since there was no response , I uninstalled LO and Java , also all tempory files, then restart PC

I reload LO first, and Java , but problem still remain. When I go on table, no java found

To location of javasetup8u231.exe (app) is located on c:downloads
but install program to:
C:\users\myname\appdata\LocalLow\Oracle\Java\jre1.8.0_211\
then/jre1.8.0_211 patch

When i go in view of LO/Tools/option/advanced
No java found there
I tried by " adding " going to the path c:download - no java or jre showned

I don't understand

Thank you for your feedback.
Since I don't have more questions and no more ideas, I can't help so I'll uncc myself.
Comment 10 Robert Großkopf 2019-12-16 18:23:59 UTC
I have read this up and down ... Can't find a answer to the question:
Which bit-version of Java do you use? It must be 64bit for LO x86_64, must be 32bit for LO x86.
Comment 11 Normand Renaud 2019-12-18 01:55:14 UTC
Hi,
Finally get solved.
I have w10/64, but IE or Edge on my system is 32.
I loaded both versions of Java. first 32, with restart and load 64 .
Now LO Base / Table works

Big thank you guys, very helpfull

Have a Mery Christmass, HoHo !
