Description David de Cos 2020-01-03 19:00:39 UTC
The LibreOffice KDE5 file picker does not allow to enter directories with certain characters in their name, such as "á", "è", "ñ", "ö", etc. This is specially problematic if you often work in a non-English language, like me (Spanish).

The error dialog says "The specified folder does not exist or was not readable".

It only happens in LibreOffice, not in the regular file picker used by any KDE application.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a folder named "Investigación" or "Señales".
2. Go to LibreOffice (6.2 or newer) -> Click on either "Open File" or "Save File".
3. Navigate to the previously created folder in the File Picker, and try to enter it. You get an error dialog saying "The specified folder does not exist or was not readable".
