Intel i5 Core 2400 3.1ghz  8gb ram

Libre Office
Version: 6.3.3.2 (x64)
Build ID: a64200df03143b798afd1ec74a12ab50359878ed
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default; VCL: win;
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI-Language: en-US

When in Writer, I select a line of text then start typing. Often when I start typing, the text appears in bold.

John, I had a look at your document, but I don't think, it is a bug. Please open character style in the sidebar (Strg+F5). All lines have character style "stark betont" with font style bold. So I would expect a bold font while typing.

=> NOTABUG

Please feel free to change it back to UNCONMFIRMED with a short reasoning if you don't agree.
