Description kytriya 2020-01-20 17:34:04 UTC
Description:
When I copy and paste images the dotted line for the cell is in the right place, but the image that goes with that dotted line is above it on the wrong cells. If I move the image to the correct cell, the dotted line moves to the wrong cell. YES, I did update to the latest stable version 6.2.8.2 and the bug is still there.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create spreadsheet with over 2500 lines with 4 columns.
2. copy and paste in long images that overlap the cell.
3. Use blue dot to resize image to fit cell that was expanded to 3 lines in column one, every few lines.
4. Anchor the image to the cell.
5. Repeat this such that the number of lines between images are varied, to correspond with seasons and their titles in Doctor who.
6. Save and close app. Reopen app.
7. Click on each image and view the dotted line as opposed to where the image is around the beginning, the middle and then the end of the columns to at least 2523.

Actual Results:
Notice that as you go down column one, at first the images are spot on, then are above where they belong and then some are below where they belong. This appears to be random.

Expected Results:
Images to stay in the cell I place them and the dotted cell lines and the image to be the same spot when I click on the image. NOTE I can not work in safe mode yet due to my need to move files so I can find them.

Reproducible: Always

Shows image in relation to dotted lines in cell

Obviously, I can't fix the bug, but I was asked to mark it as unconfirmed. Not sure how to do that without reassigning the bug to myself.

You have anchored the images as "To cell (resize with cell)", but the image is larger as a cell. You can merge the cells, so that the image is totally inside the merged area, or you change the anchors to "To cell". Both should make the layout more stable.
