Description mikek 2020-02-02 22:27:56 UTC
Description:
When I clear direct formatting in a paragraph that I have manually increased the indent in, I expect it to clear the indent back to the default style for that paragraph, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Actual Results:
Manually indent a line, then Clear Manual Formatting

Expected Results:
That it would go back to the basic style associated with that line.

Reproducible: Always

I confirm the described behaviour with

Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: eeb2d19e77d6dc47c68e8ba0920a02cf64a1247b
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: default; VCL: win;
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Language: en-GB
Calc: threaded

but I'm not sure, if this is a bug or not

Looks like you pressed tab in a (bullet) list. In this case it doesn't indent but changes the list level (see Bullets and Numbering dialog > Position).

If you format a paragraph with the default style and indent via sidebar > properties > indentation you can clear the direct formatting. Using the paragraph style it works the same, actually.

So in a nutshell, tab is not indentation.
