Description Carlos 2020-02-19 21:59:45 UTC
Description:
LibreOffice Writer crashes when adding a subscript to textbox inserted via Insert > Textbox.

Writer needs to be restarted manually after this crash - the LibreOffice instance started from the crash handler itself crashes. Recovered document from the crash seems to be fine, though without the bug-causing subscript. Does not affect subscript added to the "main" text.

Does not seem to affect LibreOffice Draw.

Occurs regardless of whether OpenGL is on or off.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert textbox into document via Insert > Text Box
2. Press Ctrl+Shft+B or subscript button.

Actual Results:
Crash

Expected Results:
Subscript-Superscript in textbox

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Carlos, there is indeed a problem with textboxes in LO 6.4.0.3 But it should be fixed in 6.4.1.1 (see bug 130286).

So could you lease test with 6.4.1.1 to be sure, that it is not a duplicate of bug 130286?

Although it doesn't crash anymore, LibreOffice simply ignores the command to add subscript/superscript, be it through the Subscript/Superscript button, through the keyboard shortcuts or through the Right-Click -> Character menu option. In fact, everything in the Font Options and position tabs in the latter dialog box is ignored.

Also reproduced in:

Thanks. Let's close as a duplicate.

This part was fixed in Bug 130482 (6.4.2 only for now).
