On which env are you? (Linux, MacOs, Windows)
Can you create a simple text file in the location you chose (without using LO)?

Do you try to save on local hard disk or on a network share?

Can you create and save a simple odt file containing just "test"?

Could you give a try to last stable LO version 6.3.4?

Hi Julien,
I am in Win10
I had saved the file on Tresorit cloud. (tresorit.com)
When I tried to save the edited version, I tried to do it both in Tresorit and on my local hard drive; both were failing.
I have now installed 6.4.
I opened the file; it said it was trying to recoup the loss data; it opened but the last edits were missing.
I then did "Save as", first on my local drive and it worked, then on Tresorit and it failed with this message:
"Error saving the document LGC - Presentation, Brent, Feb 2020:
Object already exists.
This document has already been opened for editing."
So it seems the bug is with Tresorit. Could you kindly tell me the best wording to use to explain the bug to them?
Many thanks,
Andrea

I don't know what technology Tresorit uses: Webdav, Sharepoint, etc.

First could you try to editing and save your file locally then upload it on Tresorit.
If it doesn't work, it may be a Tresorit's bug.
If it works, difficult to tell if it's Tresorit's or LO's fault.
If in this last case, you can anyway tell them you've got a problem when editing and saving an existent file and then quote the error message you had. Then quote their feedback and we'll see how to keep on investigation if it's possible.
