Interesting, this works fine with browser+online combination, but not in the app.

Like bug #133279, this seems to have been fixed by something in the meantime. And in fact in this case I can enter tet into the comment both using my Bluetooth keyboard and using the on-screen keyboard.
Comment 5 Nicolas Christener 2020-09-04 05:07:12 UTC
The issue is indeed fixed in the new build 4.2.8.

Thanks a lot to the Collabora team and especially Tor for taking care of this!

I believe this issue can be closed now.
Comment 6 How can I remove my account? 2020-10-02 08:00:58 UTC
This issue seems to have appeared again in a current 4.2 build. At least using a Smart Keyboard Folio (i.e. non-Bluetooth) keyboard, I can't type into a comment. Re-opening.
Comment 7 How can I remove my account? 2020-10-02 08:33:13 UTC
To be more precise, as soon as I tap into the text field for the comment in the "dialog" (if you can call it that) that pops up, the dialog disappears again. Investigating.
Comment 8 How can I remove my account? 2021-03-24 10:04:44 UTC
Seems to work now again. (But with the on-screen keyboard I had to try twice before I got th dialog to show up and the text entered to appear there, so some randomness there certainly is still there.)
Comment 9 Nicolas Christener 2021-03-24 12:24:36 UTC
I also tested it in 6.4.7 (1) and didn't see randomness with the Apple Smart Keyboard and it also worked fine with the onscreen keyboard.

Thanks for the work!
