Interesting, this works fine with browser+online combination, but not in the app.
Like bug #133279, this seems to have been fixed by something in the meantime. And in fact in this case I can enter tet into the comment both using my Bluetooth keyboard and using the on-screen keyboard.
The issue is indeed fixed in the new build 4.2.8. Thanks a lot to the Collabora team and especially Tor for taking care of this! I believe this issue can be closed now.
This issue seems to have appeared again in a current 4.2 build. At least using a Smart Keyboard Folio (i.e. non-Bluetooth) keyboard, I can't type into a comment. Re-opening.
To be more precise, as soon as I tap into the text field for the comment in the "dialog" (if you can call it that) that pops up, the dialog disappears again. Investigating.
Seems to work now again. (But with the on-screen keyboard I had to try twice before I got th dialog to show up and the text entered to appear there, so some randomness there certainly is still there.)
I also tested it in 6.4.7 (1) and didn't see randomness with the Apple Smart Keyboard and it also worked fine with the onscreen keyboard. Thanks for the work!
