I use FIXED DATE field, because I want to update it on my purpose only. When updating, I have to set it "auto-updating" and then back "fixed date".
I wish an item in context menu (right mouse bottom): "Update static field" or something like this. Please, could you do it?

Sounds to me like a duplicate of bug 81079. Please feel free to change it back to NCONFIRMD with a short reasoning, if you don't agree.
