Description: LO 6.4.1.2, Mac OS 10.15.3 When starting a presentation with the LO window on my main (laptop) screen, the presentation does not show on the connected external screen, but on the main screen "in front" of the Presenter Console (which can be seen by using Mac OS's "Mission Control" screen) and with a distorted resolution (I assume it's the resolution of the external screen). Workaround: When moving the main window to the external screen and starting the presentation, everything works as expected (presenter console on main screen, presentation on external screen). However, this way the audience sees the open file and I can't edit it "in the background" while the presentation is running or open other LO files easily while the presentation is running. I'm pretty sure this bug is rather recent; I did not use Impress for a couple of months but did not have any problems in December '19. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Connect to an external screen 2. Open an LO Impress file 3. Have the presenter console enabled (default) 4. Start presentation (hit F5) Actual Results: Presentation opens on main screen "in front of" presenter console; resolution is distorted. Expected Results: Presentation opens on external screen while main screen shows presenter console. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.4.1.2 Build-ID: 4d224e95b98b138af42a64d84056446d09082932 CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Mac OS X 10.15.3; UI-Render: Standard; VCL: osx; Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI-Sprache: de-DE Calc: threaded
Please check display settings in Slide Show menu Please alo test with master 7.0+ from https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html.
Display settings in slide show menu are set to "Auto External (Display 2)" (in German: "Automatisch extern (Bildschirm 2)"). Same behaviour on LO 7.0 Dev, I'm afraid - just tested with: Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: acf66b7258adfbb5bbbe3ede0cb4b420ad76db32 CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.15.3; UI render: default; VCL: osx; Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded

Very strange, I can't reproduce this Tested on MBP 13" 2015 and 1920x1200 external screen Slide show and presenter console show up fine on their respective monitors I'm on Mojave though, so someone with Catalina should also test Do you already have LO open before you connect the external screen? Laptop screen the main screen Connecting external screen and then LO and presenting: Works Opening LO and then connecting external screen: Works External screen the main screen Connecting external screen and then LO and presenting: Works Opening LO and then connecting external screen: Works Version: 6.4.3.5 Build ID: 4db9852e73d9e9d662fc8a2783bace79addf1805 CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.14.6; UI render: default; VCL: osx; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded
Thanks for looking into this. I just tested again with another user profile on my macbook and - poof! - everything works fine. So, the problem seems to be with my user profile. Strange enough, starting LO in safe mode does not solve the problem. So it's probably not the LO user profile, but something in relation to my mac user profile. However, not a (genuine) LO-problem, it seems.
I understand this can be closed. No purpose to have bug that is not reproducible.
