example template, created from Libreoffice

Test system Ubuntu 18.04
Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 4e5f875cdb81a1c1ca881ef8c90a63c2afd2ba78
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: kf5;
TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@86-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2020-02-25_05:20:3

to repoduce

1: download the attached template file
2: open the template in Calc

result
The application is editing the original template file.

expected
The application created a new file based on the template.

Checked in 6.4 and there was no problem, updating the bibsect repo for 7 and will run that as soon as it is done.

BTW - did run that bibisect against the daily build (LO 7) repository without any usable results. Perhaps there is another of those transition repos which should be used instead.

I can't reproduce it in

Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 086bfde59232076644995ae862cd43865419ad98
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

Steps
1. Open the document
2. Close the document

-> It doesn't ask me to save anything. is it correct?

Could you please try with a more recent master build ?
Comment 3 Drew Jensen 2020-03-22 17:28:10 UTC
Checked again with Ubuntu 18.04 and a newer daily build
Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 2eb0e7594cc875dd0960822d9403b573ac00f739

it is working as expected (checked all the different template types, no problem with any of them)
