Description tefaa8 2020-03-20 09:58:04 UTC
Description:
Just like MS Word, I want to update/modify a preset style based on the text which I select. I have tried the 'Update to Match Selection' under the style but this doesn't seem to work. Instead, it applies the other style to my selected text. Is this feature included in Writer?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a block of text
2. Go to a style selector > Click the right arror in a DIFFERENT style > Update to match selection
3. Instead of updating the style based on the text, it actually applies that styyle

Actual Results:
It applies the style on the text

Expected Results:
It should update the other style based on the selected text

Reproducible: Always

Tefaa8, the idea of Bugzilla is not to provide individual help. Please use ask.libreoffice.org/ in such a case. If you think, there's a bug or you want to propose an enhancement Bugzilla is the right place.

Additional information: I'm not sure, if I've understood your use case, but the clone formatting icon should solve your problem. And again: If that doesn't work, please use ask.libreoffice.org/
