Steps to Reproduce:

1.Open the attached test document. 
Observe that column A contains only English string, while column B contains a mixture of English and Chinese.

2.Select column A, apply font using the siderbar font dropdown. 
--> Quick.

3. Select column B, apply font using the sidebar font dropdown.
--> Very slow!

I do not reproduce with version 7.0 anymore. May have been fixed somewhere. Mark as WORKSFORME for now.
