Description Rpnpif 2020-03-24 10:54:18 UTC
Description:
From the Start centre, the action opening a Writer document then closing Writer to return to Start centre does not quit the menu bar of Writer that it places it under the menu bar of Start Centre.
Each time, that Writer was used, a menu bar persists.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run libreoffice (Start centre)
2. Click on a Writer document icon previously edited on a another session.
3. Close Writer but not Start Centre.
4. Reopen Writer and the two menu bars are still displayed.
Sometimes, I must do two or three times points 2 and 3.

Actual Results:
The Writer menu bar persists under the Start Centre menu bar.

Expected Results:
Only one menu bar should be displayed.

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
It is possible to get numbered menu bars displayed at the same time.
I am not sure but I think this issue exists with Calc but I cannot reproduce it.

I cannot reproduce now resetting the profile but this issue was reproducible on other machine with different profiles. I think that it appears after a time of work or with some documents.

Log on stdout :

Same issue with Linux 4.9

Comment 5 Rpnpif 2020-09-09 12:23:00 UTC
New!
In cannot reproduce this issue on the English (base) Libreoffice with this command :
LANG=C libreoffice7.0

But with the French package, now I can reproduced this bug more easily.

1. Run Libreoffice StartCenter.
2. Open a new empty writer document.
3. In the menu, choose Fichier, Fermer (Writer).
4. Now there are displayed two menu bars : one for Writer that it is not disappeared and one normal for the Startcenter.
5. if I open and close alternatively Writer others menu bars are simultaneously displayed without limits.

The console logs are :
SLF4J: Failed to load class "org.slf4j.impl.StaticLoggerBinder".
SLF4J: Defaulting to no-operation (NOP) logger implementation
SLF4J: See http://www.slf4j.org/codes.html#StaticLoggerBinder for further details.

So to summarize, this issue seems to exist only on the French release from LO 4 or early.

My tests on:
Aaargh, Lo 7.0 does not permit a copy/paste action on the about dialogue. It is a pity.

Release : 7.0.1.2
Threads CPU : 2. OS Linux 5.7.
UI Render: default; VCL gtk3.
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.utf8); Langue IHM: fr_FR
Other: Calc: threaded.

Regards.
