Description: Hi. I line number a document. I want a vertical border between line numbering and my document body content. The modified style with a border setup seems not apply (see below steps to reproduce) Nothing appears. The alternative way seems to apply a left border to document body content (paragraph...). Not sure it is a bug, but seems dysfunction. Can you confirm? Thanks. Steps to Reproduce: 1. menu "tools"/ "line numbering" : to line number the document 2. style dialog (F11), "characters styles") "line numbering", "modify", 3. Pat, thank you for reporting the bug. It seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

I confirm that behaviour with Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: 1c9ced04189c9d23ffea05d5570960b54b05ef28 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win; Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Language: en-GB Calc: CL Same result with - Highlight color It works with - strikethrough - underlining - bold - italic So more general: Some settings of a character style are missing, if style is used for line numbering (I changed bug summary)
