Description: The example in the help page of the Switch function does not work in the German environment. The example is inserted incorrectly, because in German the comma is the decimal separator and the semicolon is the separation in the function. Therefore ",1," is translated to 0,1. Correctly the example must be called: =Schalter(Monat(A3);1;"Januar";2;"Februar";3;"März";"nichts gefunden") see here: https://help.libreoffice.org/7.0/de/text/scalc/01/func_switch.html Actual Results: Expected Results: Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.4.2.2 (x64) Build-ID: 4e471d8c02c9c90f512f7f9ead8875b57fcb1ec3 CPU-Threads: 8; BS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI-Render: Standard; VCL: win; Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Sprache: de-DE Calc: threaded
The string is marked for translation, and has not (yet) been translated by the German team. English strings are put in place of the untranslated (DE) strings. Issue will self-heal when the DE team translates the string.
Olivier: I took a look at https://translations.documentfoundation.org/translate/libo_help-master/textscalc01/de/?checksum=d37c0d514b9938cb Login "kuehl" suggested a translation (with commas too). Is it a suggestion which waits for review?
I have now added some suggestions for the help page and the example of SWITCH (de:SCHALTER). I did not know that I can make translation suggestions directly in the Weblate tool.
Since I don't speak German, I let others decide about suggestion. For example, perhaps it's better to tell "und so weiter" instead of the shortcut "usw". Anyway, thank you for having spotted this! Don't hesitate to suggest other translations!

Is it a suggestion > which waits for review? Anonymous login (I assume it's Jürgen) suggested a translation with semicolons, and login "Kü" accepted it 5 days ago. So this should be fixed in 6.4.4 and 7.0.0 alhpa1.
