Description: When I copy paste cels with ctrl-x or ctrl-c, at the paste with ctrl-v occasionaly it will paste some earlier clipboard content without any warning. This makes libre office as a whole totally useless to me. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Work with the table sometime with various normal editing routines 2.ctrl-c or ctrl-x some cells 3.ctrl-v Actual Results: ctrl-c ctrl-x was ignored and some previos content was pasted. Expected Results: cels selected with ctrl-c or ctrl-x should have been pasted Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I understand you suspect my keyboard press has been incomplete, but this is not the case. There really is some problem with ability to capture ctrl-c or ctrl-x command and that only takes place less than 1 time per 50 attempt. I want to emphasize similar thing has never occurred to me in ANY OTHER program or platform while working 30 years with computers. (I will report another bug concerning indentation of numbers that also occur randomly and that can not be related to my key press quality. I am really afraid of that these bugs are intentional sabotage against the product. Problems that are not visible in quick review, but are showstoppers for using the product seem to be more frequent in libreoffice that one could statistically expect)
Created attachment 159675 [details] document I was working with while problem occur
Version: 6.4.2.2 Build ID: 1:6.4.2-0ubuntu3 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; Locale: fi-FI (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded
Just add, I know for sure it was not my key pressing failure as ctrl-x removed the chosen cells and then ctrl-v randomly pasted something previously copied and not the cells I cut. This makes it especially critical as this way critical information will get completely lost.
1/ What kind of previous content ? 2/ Please, could you give a try to the current version 6.4.3. Status set to NEEDINFO, please set it back to UNCONFIRMED once requested information is provided. Best regards. JBF
Previous content meant: clipboard content that was cut and pasted before current cut and paste action. (in finnish "edellisen kopionnin sisältö") In my understanding cut took place but it was not saved to clipboard and previous content was pasted or clipboard management was somehow confused. And this happened 3 times while I was executing maybe some 50 cut and paste actions. I am running Ubuntu 20.04 that is in beta phase yet another week, 6.4.2.2 version is what is available and adding libreoffice/ppa did not bring any later version. Snap package or flat pack or separate deb package will not support finnish language voikko and I have not build any packages by my self - so 6.4.3 will be available only sometime later. I may not have time to play around with that then.
As you use a beta version of Ubuntu, I suggest you to file a bugreport against Ubuntu 20.04. Best regards. JBF
I will. Case closed from my part.
