Layout tab -> Page size

The submenu does not display any text. A menu item can only be selected blindly.

Error also occurs under the current version 6.4. On various Win10 devices.

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today + German UI + gen rendering, I don't reproduce this but I noticed these logs on console:

Windows only bug?

I can't confirm it with

Please copy and paste here the contents of your Help - About. This allows us to know more about your system.

You could also test with a fresh master build https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html Win-x86_64@tb77-TDF

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.

My Help - About is currently:

Version: 6.3.6.2 (x64)
Build-ID: 2196df99b074d8a661f4036fca8fa0cbfa33a497
CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 10.0; UI-Render: GL; VCL: win;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Sprache: de-DE
Calc: threaded

In The error does not occur in LibreOffice 7.0 Beta 1 or in Beta 2. In version 6.3.6.2, however, it is still present.

So perhaps it is fixed in LO 6.4. Could you please test?

Firecash has indicated this on his first comment:
"Error also occurs under the current version 6.4. On various Win10 devices."

But perhaps at 18/04, it was only 6.4.3 not 6.4.4

You are using OpenGL for the rendering of the user interface. Please deactivate it and see how it affects you: Tools - Options - LibreOffice - View - Use OpenGL for all rendering

As the menu items are hard to select, you might also try launching it from the command line with c:\path\to\theprogram\soffice --safe-mode
and then continue in safe mode. Running in safe mode should deactivate OpenGL rendering and you could verify this is the reason for the badness.

7.0 comes with Vulkan-based rendering and it is more reliable in many cases.
Comment 8 firecash 2020-06-25 13:01:59 UTC
The behavior is identical in version 6.3.6.2 (x64) and 6.4.4.2 (x64). I tested it again.

If OpenGL is deactivated, the error no longer occurs. Thank you for the help - I can live with that!
Comment 9 Buovjaga 2020-06-25 13:23:09 UTC
Ok, let's close as OpenGL is going away

You can try to upgrade your graphic drivers.
See https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Graphics-related_issues_.28OpenGL.29 for details

Not so sure, Skia can uses CPU or GPU (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skia_Graphics_Engine), I think it corresponds to Raster and Vulkan, so we may have the same problem.
Comment 12 Buovjaga 2020-06-25 13:36:49 UTC
If firecash was seeing the problem in the English user interface as well, they can download a fresh master and test with Skia: https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html Win-x86_64@tb77-TDF
The option is in the same location as OpenGL used to be
