Created attachment 160661 [details] Confirmation of bug - Windows 10 Able to replicate issue. Windows 10. Image shows position of purple box after pressing CTRL+Z
I was unable to reproduce the bug on the described Alpha version Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha1 (x64) Build ID: 6a03b2a54143a9bc0c6d4c7f1... CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win; Locale: en-NZ (en_NZ); UI: en-US Calc: threaded I was also unable to reproduce the bug in the stable version Version: 6.3.6.2 (x64) Build ID: 2196df99b074d8a661f4036fca8fa0cbfa33a497 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; VCL: win; Locale: en-NZ (en_NZ); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded I attempted to replicate this bug over 10 times to no avail. If I were able to replicate the issue and had time available, I’d like to run the following tests: · Try to move the purple image to a different paragraph to see if the same behaviour occurs · After getting garbled text, try move the image back to its original location to see if the bug reverts · Resize the purple image before moving it to the affected location · Replace the image with a different image altogether and repeat the drag and drop · Insert another image and try to select both images and repeat the drag and drop · Repeat the test by moving a table or text box instead of an image · Change the text wrapping settings in the source and target paragraphs · Change the font of the document and reattempt the test · Adjust the document margins and retry the test · Attempt to replicate the bug in a different document · Open the file in Word (or copy and past the contents into Word) and attempt to replicate the bug These tests would help me to understand if the bug is related to the image being moved, the size/shape of the image, the formatting of the document, the contents of the document, and the application itself (vs a competitor)

Dear Telesto, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
